Open to all who come in good faith
Pilgrims, families, students and visiting groups are all welcome. Preference goes to those travelling for darshan or for a religious occasion, but no one making an honest request is turned away.
Why the centre is here
Abu Road is a junction more than a destination. Buses and trains set people down here on their way up to Mount Abu, across to Ranakpur, or onward to the temple towns of southern Rajasthan. Groups arrive late, leave early, and often travel with elders and children.
Shree Vardhaman Mahaveer Kendra was set up to meet that plain need — a clean room, a hall to sit together in, water, shade, and a known address to give the driver. It stands in Sani Gaon, directly opposite Chacha Museum, a few minutes off the main road.
The building is modest and kept that way on purpose. What matters is that it is open, that it is looked after, and that someone answers when you ring ahead.
How the Kendra is run
01
Pilgrims, families, students and visiting groups are all welcome. Preference goes to those travelling for darshan or for a religious occasion, but no one making an honest request is turned away.
02
Rooms are plain and maintained. There is no front desk, no tariff card and no attempt at hotel service — only space that is ready when you reach it.
03
The centre keeps the habits of a dharmik place. Vegetarian food only, no intoxicants on the premises, and quiet after the evening prayers so that those resting are not disturbed.
04
Rooms and the hall are given on request, not held empty. One WhatsApp message a day or two before you travel saves a long journey ending at a full building.
The building
One building, arranged simply: guest rooms off the corridors, a hall on the common floor, and stairs leading up to the terrace.
Where it sits
Sani Gaon lies in Abu Road tehsil of Sirohi district, within reach of the railway station and the state highway. The Kendra is on the village road facing Chacha Museum.
