Staying here

Rooms for pilgrims and families

Several guest rooms open off the corridors on the inner floors. They are simple rooms — beds, fans, light, and space to put down luggage. Some have wood-panelled walls; all are kept clean between guests.

Rooms suit families breaking a journey at Abu Road, small pilgrim groups, and anyone needing a night's rest before going on to Mount Abu or the temple towns nearby.

  • Beds, fans and lighting in every room
  • Rooms of different sizes — mention how many are travelling
  • Suitable for elders; ask for a ground-floor room if stairs are difficult
  • Vegetarian food only on the premises
Rooms are allotted on request, not booked online. Send a WhatsApp message with your dates and the number of people, and you will be told what is free.

The hall and corridors

The common floor holds an indoor hall with corridors running off it. It is the part of the building that fills up — used for pravachan and discourse, for community meals, and for the small functions families hold when they are travelling together.

There is no stage and no fixed seating, which is what makes it useful. Mats go down, the space is arranged to fit the occasion, and it is cleared again afterwards.

  • Open floor — seating arranged to suit the gathering
  • Used for pravachan, bhakti, meals and family functions
  • Connected corridors for overflow and queueing
  • Dates must be confirmed in advance

Open areas

Terrace and balcony

Stairs lead up to an open terrace above the building, looking out over Sani Gaon and the land beyond it. In the hot months it is unusable by afternoon and the best place in the building by evening.

On the floor below, a shaded balcony with potted plants gives somewhere to sit through the day — the quietest corner of the Kendra, and the one most guests end up using.

  • Full open terrace, reached by internal stairs
  • Shaded balcony on the upper floor
  • Used for morning prayers and evening sitting
  • Please keep quiet after evening prayers
